She will forever retain the title of &#8220;Izzy Doll Mama&#8221; as she transitions to an advisory position with Izzy Doll Initiative. We are proud to announce that Lise Galuga will take on the leadership role as Executive Director.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Izzy Doll Initiative, a touching tribute to Master Corporal Mark &#8220;Izzy&#8221; Isfeld, continues its mission to spread love and comfort to children in need. Isfeld, a Canadian soldier who lost his life clearing landmines in Croatia, was known for sharing his mother&#8217;s crocheted dolls with children during his deployments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since 2007, Shirley O&#8217;Connell has tirelessly led the initiative, fostering a network of volunteers and students who have crafted thousands of Izzy Dolls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lise Galuga, a Canadian Military spouse with a deep connection to the initiative, brings a wealth of experience and passion to the role of Executive Director. She has been involved in numerous military initiatives and has worked to share Mark Isfeld&#8217;s story, including leading the recent <em>80 Izzy Dolls for the 80th anniversary of D-Day<\/em> project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;I am deeply honoured to continue the extraordinary work started by Carol, Brian, and Shirley.
